Join us as we visit Eagle’s Wing Ranch and Hester’s Meat CO, both situated in Colorado’s North Park area. Our day-long ranch tour will cover everything from fencing and facility building materials, design, and functionality. Direct meat sales, alternative revenue sources, herd and pasture health and management will also be widely discussed. We will travel to see the bison herds at the two ranches and spend plenty of time socializing and having a wonderful day with fellow bison ranchers and enthusiasts.
Eagle’s Wing Ranch is located at 8,200 feet near Routt National Forest. In 2007, Bob Beauprez, then a third-generation Colorado dairy farmer, and his wife Claudia purchased the historic Chedsey Ranch near Walden. Operated by Bob and his son Jim, Eagle’s Wing Ranch is a family operation in the truest sense. Fed with legendary native North Park grass hay, the bison are all grass fed and finished.
Hester’s Meat CO is owned and operated by Lindsey and Forest Hester. It is a true farm to plate retail buffalo meat store. They calve, raise, and finish all of their own buffalo on their property.
